Okay... so I can pretend to be the cynical, grumpy old bastard with the best of them. Most people know it takes a lot to **** me off. Right now, I literally want to throw something.

Friday night, goingoneight walks into his kitchen and finds out his refrigerator died. Lame... but **** happens, right?

Saturday morning, he wakes up to a lukewarm bedroom and later determines his AC has gone out, too.

Sunday night/Monday morning, his washer goes out and floods his garage.

My question is I have an equipment breakdown policy on my homeowner's insurance that requires a $500 deductible "per occurence." Any chance I can tell them this story as-is and get this **** taken care of? Or am I screwed?

Did ya have a Storm in the area at the time?

I don't know... no flashing alarm clocks or anything. Just seems like one of those "just my luck" situations.

It wouldn't hurt to call an electrician. If he or she can find some kind of electrical problem that may have contributed, you may only have to pay the one deductible.
