The University of Oklahoma football team placed seven individuals on the first team of Phil Steele's 2012 Preseason All-Big 12 Team. No other school placed more than three players on the 22-man offensive and defensive first team.The Sooners were represented offensively by C Ben Habern, OL Gabe Ikard, QB Landry Jones and WR Kenny Stills. S Tony Jefferson, DL Jamarkus McFarland and LB Tom Wort were selected to the first team defensive squad.
