Best Security Cameras?

Has anyone purchased an outside security camera for their home? We have a couple of destructive teens who have been causing some havoc lately.
We had a rock thrown through our basement window on Saturday night and the wife wants to put up a camera.

I have looked at a few online and the ratings seem all over the board. Any help is appreciated.

I don't know much about different brands, but there was one I saw for 99 dollars that had both night and day cameras and was wireless for easy setup to your home network/pc. Thought about getting it for my house.
