I remember him at the Zoo once. Lots of clouds, rain showers. The show went on. He started playing Europa and the heavens opened with light and sunshine.

The Wife and I saw him at the BOK last time he was in Tulsa.

I saw him play back in the day too but the Wife loved that Supernatural Album he did in 2000 that won Album of the year and Best Rock Album of the Year.

He's getting pretty old now and is backed up by a bunch of really great musicians and I'm glad i saw him last year as I think it's getting to the point that we might not see him on tour much in the future.

I saw Santana at the Pima County Fairgrounds back ina day. The concert got stopped when a bunch of Hells Angels and Mongols (I think it was Mongols but coulda been Banditos) got into it with chains and knives and crap. Carlos was up on stage going "peace my brothers, please brothers peace" as Jack Daniels bottles go flying by.

I saw Santana a few years ago at Jazz Fest. The guitar playing was excellent. The political spiel was just to the left of Fidel I think.

BTW, about half of the early Santana material had lead guitar solos by Neil Schon, of Journey. FYI.
