I don't understand all of the fuss. If the secret service agents were off duty, what is so wrong with them buying a little nighttime companionship?

I just dont get it. We spent millions training them and we're just gonna fire them like it's nothing? What a waste of resources. Almost like spending billions to go after people that grow plants. I guess that's the prevailing attitude when it's not your money you're spending.

It is a security issue pure and simple.

It'd be nice if every administrator would balance the security issue (or any issue) with our funding issue.

I Know some here would rejoice
But How much ya think it would cost us If the President was assassinated in a foreign country?

5030 you lost me on this one?

It is pretty much a given if you have a certain security clearance you do not play with the locals. Prostitutes are a tried and true way of our enemy getting information from men in the know.

Vet,

I don't associate their behavior with an increase in risks to the president.

BTW, Victor Landing was full last weekend......wtf is up with that?

Triple what it cost now to fly our president right now.

I have a little bit of insight into this stuff because when I was flying out of Dover AFB we were part of the Presidents entourage. I went to Russia in support of the Salt II talks and to Brazil for the Earth Summit to name a few. My dad was President Johnson's and Nixon's pilot on AF One. You could not say jack chit about your mission.

Presidents are way the hell overly protected. The Emperors of Rome were not so strongly guarded.

Presidents aren't divine, and they're certainly not irreplaceable.

It was an honest misunderstanding. They thought Hillary was coming instead of Obama, and she was going to bring Bill, so they were just auditioning the local talent.

Okay, if there is a rule not to co-mingle with the natives, I guess these guys did it all wrong.
Prostitutes are indeed used to milk information out of the men who knew them. But, that's largely from longer term relationships and not one night stands.

I guess there is always blackmail. And since we know about this case because the guy didn't pay the gal what she thought he should have paid, it was a form of blackmail. This policy of not playing with the locals is in effect opening up more of the chance of blackmail.

If I were president, I'd rather have the men protecting me and willing to take a bullet not to be too sexually frustrated.

So if they go a week without getting any it can affect their job performance?

If you say it like that, probably not. I suppose that secret service agents travel a lot. Have you ever traveled and got really interested in the food, the local alcohol, the culture and other potential activities? I know that I do. Maybe that's why I would never make a secret service agent.

I can't believe some of you know what protocol is. We have all been trained for years.

There are many reasons why this is wrong. Many. But I'm sure there is a justification, rationalization for all those reasons.

Either President Clinton has spent too much time in Harlem or I'm behind on the vernacular. But I'm not discounting the possibility that the secret service and the state department officials say: "if this is Columbia, then it must be Prostituesday.

I reckon the majority of Secret Service agents are pubs, ... interesting that politicians who have problems controlling their hard dicks are usually donks.

And y'all learn how to spell Colombia. They ain't in Missouri.

Yeah, I should have caught that spelling since I have a Baptist missionary cousin in Cartagena for more than 20 years.

I noticed that CNN is all over this case as one of the most serious security breaches in the Secret Service over the last 40 years and that heads must roll. I think that that is way over blown and piling on. But whatever...

OMG! I'm just now reading more about this case and these guys are total amateurs and they should be called on it.

You negotiate everything beforehand and it doesn't matter if you're totally drunk, you have to stick to it.

I don't buy for a second that the dates are escorts and just arm candy. This MSNBC article is terribly misleading and one sided. Arm candy doesn't go from a bar to a hotel room, especially as the girls claim that there is a minimum fee to pay their pimp. The moral of the story is that you don't pick up professional girls at a bar, you go to an establishment, one that wants repeat customers and respect anonymity.

These American secret service guys were so out of their league and so amateurish that they really should be sacked.

I think some were sacked for lying to Federal authorities when they were questioned.

A big no no.
