Who talks like that??? I mean, really? Were his parents gold prospectors? It's a little tough to follow, but his word choice is just weird.

Nothing has changed. Les is, was and will always be a moron. That he is also prone to personal attacks on young men who've done nothing to him other than failing to submit to what he believes best for them, makes him not only obnoxious, but also pathetic.
But that, too, is nothing new.

See back in the Okie Lite days, I found him annoying, but he seemed to rally around him players. The whole "I'll take these suckers" speach was somewhat endearing to me even though it was a little retarded. Now he is just a freakin' a$$hole with a penchant for backwoods-isms.

That's pathetic. I thought it was ridiculous when he made his comments about Kiel in February but it's getting sad. I don't recall another coach doing this to a recruit. Several years ago when that kicker from Montana didn't show up, I don't recall Stoops saying anything outside of 'he didn't show up'. And that was worse because the kid signed and never showed up and didn't explain why. Kiel was never a signee.

You would think this kind of childish non-sense may not play well with other recruits, but maybe it does play well with guys that make 4 on the Wonderlic.

Yes he is an odd character. I miss all the laughs we had at his expense when he was at oSu. When you're winning as many games as he has been winning lately, and playing in more BCS bowls than other coaches, most recruits will give head coaches like that a pass on strange behavior.

Most of his players love him and love playing for the guy..For all the dumb things he says to the media, he must be a heck a speaker to his team..

There are still so many laughs to be had (at his expense). Usually, he's good for one or two dumbass coaching decisions per game, it just so happened that he's dodged a lot of bullets the past couple of years. The odds are now against him, so this year should be interesting.

I love watching interviews with Les. He's like the friend that everyone has, the really dumb one, that says things you can't believe are real...yet, the person is so dumb, that they are authentic, dumb statements.

Nothing he has ever said since beats the "Let R Rip" that was said on our own Owen Field, along with the memorable "This...was...not... suppose..to...happen...here...today" when it was all over except the crying. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y86/OUmom/smilies/giggle.gif

and the farking... Priceless.

First being at lsu he's prob right at home...and 2nd...have you heard how some of these "top recruits" talk? seriously...

I'm sure we (OU) have our fair share...but our spokesmen always seem very articulate...Broyles for one..

It's like some radio talking head said, you take a guy with a phys. ed. degree and make him the most important person in the state...it's a wonder we don't have more train wrecks like Petrino. And Les.

So Les is publicly questioning this kid's toughness? I looked at the photo of Les, and at the photo of Kiel. If you looked both in a room, and they had to fight for the door, Kiel would obviously come out first.

Kiel has pretty huge arms. Good luck to the kid.

Les has always been a coach that would rather talk or be heard than to listen. Kiel from day one in his recruitment spoke of reservations about playing too far from his home hence his decision to play for Indiana. Had Les listened he would know this and taken the extra effort to hold his hand until signing day.

As it time to sign his LOI approached cold feet got him to again looking closer to home. Given his personal circumstances Notre Dame was the most logical choice for his future. Les got what he desired,an empty bag, but still wants to be heard.
