Google is testing augmented reality glasses (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9c6W4CCU9M4), showcasing the technology's futuristic, and potentially revolutionary, features to the public.
The glasses will provide real-time information and allow users to take photos, make calls, send messages and video chat, essentially replacing smartphones with headpieces. Google publicly unveiled its plan to create the glasses after months of gossip and rumors about the project, conceived in the company's Google X lab.
