That may be, but (JMHO) winning the NIT is more satisfying than one & done in NCAA.

This line of thinking is consistent with those that would prefer OU win a lesser bowl game than lose either a national championship game or a BCS bowl. I don't happen to think that way. I believe winning the NIT means you weren't good enough to make the NCAA field and therefore is much less satisfying than a one and out trip to the Dance. Having said all that, if you're going to play in the NIT you might as well win it.

I ran two races.

In the first one, I ran against a retarded kid and made him look stupid.

In the second one, I ran against a guy from Kenya and got beat, but it was a well ran match.

The moral of the story is that Poke likes to run races against retards.

Here endeth the lesson.

I know that NCAAs is better than NIT. It's not like osu had a choice. But, they did the best with what they had.

Assuming incredibly that you're serious, I was suggesting that was Boone Pickens sitting there, defying death to an absurd degree, in his futile quest to "hang on" until he finally gets to witness a Pork National Championship.

The only advantage to playing in the NIT is that your players get a chance to keep playing. They aren't playing at NCAA Tourney Level or they would have been in the Tourney.

If they are playing with players that will all return next year the extra games they play might allow them to improve enough to win a few more regular season games next year and maybe even allow them to get themselves in the Tourney. Will it set them up to win the Big XII Championship? I highly doubt it. I wouldn't even put money on them winning the NIT next year.

Basketball is a strange game. I have more faith in Lon getting OU to next years Tourney than OSU. Travis Ford is in his 4th year as a Big XII Coach. By now he should have assembled a better team than this. I'd fire his a$$ if I was Boone Plickems. With Pilgrim, Moses and Paige leaving Ford has his work cut out for him.

Pilgrim and Moses didn't even play for us this year.

They both graduated last year. Page is our only loss, and word is he's going to be a GA on our team next year. With Marcus Smart coming in, I'm going to go ahead and say that we finish top 3 in the Big 12 next year.
