Tied up with 15 seconds left. Tar Heels have the ball but Ohio has played a hell of a game.

38 seconds left Ohio having to foul to stop the clock again. I don't see them taking UNC to 2nd OT.

Whew! I had UNC WinnIng this one but didn't think it would be close. Without Kendall Marshall, I'm not sure UNC can beat KU or NCst. I have KU beating NCst but losing to UNC.

Check this out...Time to force the Husker's to pay 3 million? :D

According to several Mid-American Conference sources, league rumors have Groce leaning — and leaning hard — toward staying at Ohio University if his only suitor is Nebraska.
To make sure they keep him, the Bobcats are believed to be willing to up Groce’s salary to close to $450,000 per year. His current salary is reportedly $250,000, with incentives bringing his total compensation to close to $300,000.
Money isn’t the only reason Groce would consider staying at Ohio, though. Nebraska can offer more than $1 million per season. The Cornhuskers were reportedly willing to offer Wichita State’s Gregg Marshall $2 million this week, but were turned away. Now Groce is believed to be their next target.

Groce could be pulled back to Athens by the fact he returns every key player from this year’s Sweet 16 team.

How much could it cost us? :D ;)

Kruger met with Oklahoma athletic director Joe Castiglione and president David Boren, where he agreed to a 7-year, $16 million contract to take the reins of a once-proud program coming off of back-to-back losing seasons and a wave of NCAA violations.

I'm not giving up on Krug yet. He wasn't given much to work with. History has shown that he can and will turn his programs into winners. Give him another season or two and well be back to the big dance.

I'm really just saying that I wonder if we would be after Groce if we didn't have Kruger? I'd love to take a Coach from Lincoln. :D Groce might have been a guy that could come in and really make changes that work immediately. I'm OK with Lon but if he doesn't have us playing better next year I'd be wondering if we should start looking for a way out of this 7 year contract.

Groce seems like a really good Coach.

One thing I'll give that Ohio squad; they were playing the entire game like they should have. Left nothing on the court after it was over.

I was pulling for the Bobcats, but it just wasn't meant to be.

As for Lon, I think we're lucky to have him at this point, and he's doing good things in Norman. In fact, I saw where Romero Osby was working on his game at the LNC after the Lady Sooners lost to St. Mary's. I'm sure it's hard for a player to watch as 64 (or how ever many teams are in now) continue to play. Anyway, I thought that was a good sign of the attitude within the program.

You cannot fire a coach after one year. Not enough time to get his players into his system.

Sure you can. You put a couple of Naked Co-eds in his office and then drop by to see him right after he heads to his office. :D:)
