- OU leads overall 36-26-1 and 24-20-1 (Big 12).
- OU swept last year’s series in Norman (10-1, 11-1, 8-5) and also won 3-1 in the second game of the Big 12 tourney.
- OU has won six of the last seven series with Texas Tech.
- The Red Raiders last won a series in 2010 (2-1) in Lubbock.
- The Sooners has won two of the seven series played in Lubbock (2008 and 2006) and is 10-13 overall at Texas Tech.
- OU has won eight of the 15 Big 12 series despite losing five of the first six series meetings (tied 1-1-1 in 2001).
- The Sooners swept the series in 2003, 2005, 2006 and 2011.
- OU won the series opener in each of the last nine three- game sets. Six of the 15 series were won in game three.
- OU is 8-3 in one-run games against Texas Tech, winning four of the last six games in that scenario.

Hopefully we will turn things around this weekend. Texas Tech is pitching and hitting the ball slightly better than us right now, but has not fared good against better teams on their schedule. I think their biggest win was against Arizona State. As I said before, the two keys is pitching and eliminating the errors.

I was hoping for a sweep but I'll take 2 out of 3. Great to see the guys battle back after Friday night. Pitching didn't look to bad this weekend but we are still getting those pesky errors.

Tech's a tough place to play (they had only lost one home game before we came in over the weekend.) I went out there to watch OU play in 2010 and they had a team fairly equal to the one this year but took two of three from us, and did it in fairly dominating style ... and that was the year we went to the CWS.

I'm exciting about just getting the series win. If they can build on that and figure a way to go 3-1 this week, then we've got something building.
