Heard he's in Norman this weekend for a visit and that he may pull the trigger for you guys. Can anybody confirm or have any info?

I hear he is very high on OU but doubt he pulls the trigger. They say he does want to committ soon (may want to enroll next Spring) but wants to make all of his visits, including Alabama, before he decides.

Thanks, R/N. He's got a relationship supposedly with our new OC, Doug Nussmeier, who came from the Washington Huskies. I just think in the end, though, distance will be a factor and I doubt he ends up in Tuscaloosa. Hope I'm wrong, of course....

He got to Norman late Thursday night, and is leaving today. He has a great relationship with Heupel, and loves the system at OU. It looks like it's going to come down to four schools:

OU, Bama, Stanford, USC (really, I think it's down to OU, Bama and a late surging USC).

And Sabanball, don't worry about the distance thing, he's already said it will not factor in to his decision (of course, that's easy to say, but we'll see).

Oklahoma is putting most of their eggs in the Max Browne basket, so either they are very confident that he'll commit, or they are confident that if he doesn't, they can pick up another QB.

Yep, it sounds like he's going to take all 5 official visits, so it'll be a while before we hear anything definitive.

Thanks for all the info, guys. He's thrown for about 8,000 yards and about 100 touchdowns the last two years and he's completed about 68 percent of his passes. Given how we run a strict NFL style pro-set and how you guys like to sling it around, I think he'd thrive in either Norman or Tuscaloosa. His recruitment will be interesting to watch, from what I understand he wants to commit early in the process--so it's not likely to be Gunner Kiel redux.

It makes sense that he would pick OU for the style of play, and Bama (I think more for the coaching and overall success than the style of offense) over the others...but somehow, Lane Kiffin has been able to grab some really good recruits. Hopefully, SC will not be a factor.

I feel that the biggest deterring factor for Bama, in this race, is AJ Mccarron. With Jones at OU and Barkley at USC, moving on, Browne has a more immediate chance to start. However, let's say he commits to OU, i dont see him starting as a true freshman over Blake Bell.

That was my initial thought, but I'm staying positive. He's been in constant communication with Heupel, and the fact that he took his SC trip earlier than originally scheduled could mean that he just wanted to get it out of the way and commit to OU.

I think it's a good sign that he's ready to make his decision.

It wouldnt surprise me if he committed to USC...however, OU is very high on his list, and he has to have his mom's approval for USC.

Even if we do not land him, OU is in very good shape at QB...and it gives OU no reason what so ever to not go after Hansen, who is a '14 recruit and from Oklahoma.

Looks like we're out of it and moving on. IF he wants to play for championships, he'll pick you guys over the condoms. After 2012, the scholly limits will start to take their toll and SC will likely be down for a while.
