Nice update on Trey from Bob's Spring Press conference.

"It has been exciting just how hard he has worked. A lot of young guys when they first get here have a hard time maybe handling the pace of everything. He has really handled it well. It has really been exciting to watch how he has worked and how competitive he has been and the work ethic and the physical ability to handle it all, the strength the running all of it. That is exciting. So, we definitely will look to him to make a big jump out on the field with the other guys."

I was looking over the spring practice pics and he is TALL. Not really buff (well, compared to the linemen, hehe) but TALL.

Kenny seems to have spent some offseason working on his arms... heh...

See what I mean? He doesn't have a ton of meat on him, but he's TALL. Here's another shot of him from another angle:

I know we are a big ol' nike whorin' school and thus they're going to send us all sorts of licensed specialized priviliged crap, but LOL at the fact that some of our players have their numbers on their shorts and some, like Drew Allen...

They must have sent #15 shorts in like XXXXXXXXL or something :)

I saw a clip of Trey on the news last night and the first thing I noticed were how ripped his arms were. The dude might not have a ton of mass, but he's sculpted.

Trey is definitely tall and lean.

Maybe he should watch a few of the videos posted out on soonersports and get a hunger going for one those angus breakfast sandwiches from Dunkin Donuts, like I have now!

I don't want any bulked up WR's. Give me some dudes that can run like the wind and catch the ball like they have glue on their fingertips.

I can't wait to see Courtney Gardner in practice, although that won't be until the summer. Between Gardner and Metoyer, we'll finally have some height at WR.

I hope he makes it here this summer. I know he is trying to finish up 6 classes between now and then. Three classroom and three interweb classes. That's a lot of classes at one time. I hope none of them are math classes 'cause that subject has been his nemesis. Otherwise he's is a great student. I'm rooting for him, 'cause he could be a game changer.

Didn't know that about him, but I hope he can get all of that taken care of. I agree, I think the guy can/will be a game changer.

He did that with a spectacular catch and a drop. Very quick off the line. See all-access WRs vs DBs 3/7.

He's very explosive off the line. Lets hope all the drops happen in practice.

On another topic, Gabe Lynn looks like he is showing a new attitude to coverage and showed a great closing burst to break up a Franks pass at the end of the same video. He also looks quicker in the drills than he did last season. It's early, but a few months seem to have made a noticable difference to these untrained eyes.

He had a nice catch on that last ball thrown to him. A bit more difficult than that 1st one he dropped was.

Fun note about him (http://espn.go.com/blog/colleges/oklahoma/post/_/id/6519/wr-trey-metoyer-already-impressing) on the ESPN blog this morning:

Oh man, that kid can play,” guard Gabe Ikard said. “One-handed catches, two-handed catches, behind-the-back catches, jumping-in-the-air catches, diving catches. Great hands, great speed. He’s going to be all right.

I don't care how he catches the ball in practice, I just want him to be smart enough to get past the 1st down marker and catch the ball when it's 3rd down and forever on our 10 yard line.

You do understand that our offense is a take what they are giving and try and get some yards after the catch type of offense? I think you might need to start just yelling to fire Josh or Jay instead of blaming players for running the routes they are told to run.

Did you think that our WRs intentionally run short of the 1st down marker?

Pics or this is worthless. It did allow for me to bump a thread about OU Football that will now hopefully lead to flushing that Craig James thread into the neather regions of the board.

Bump!

NWOSU is Northwestern Oklahoma State University, located in Alva, Oklahoma. It also has more national championships in football than osu has. It is also Austin Box's father's alma mater (mine also).

I'm surprised any football fan in Oklahoma wouldn't know what SWOSU is. I married a grad.

I divorced her later in life, but that's a different story.
