After 12 years with the Oklahoma Sooners' coaching staff, defensive coordinator Brent Venables is leaving the Sooners to become the new defensive coordinator of the Clemson Tigers. While it may look like sideways movement, the Sooners just welcomed back Mike Stoops and Venables would have shared the defensive coordinator role with Stoops. At Clemson, Venables will be the sole defensive coordinator.
