The Oklahoma Sooners' 2011 college football season started with the team ranked No. 1 in the nation, ESPN filming a preseason show following the team around, and the national championship as the main goal. It ended with the Sooners beating the Iowa Hawkeyes in the Insight Bowl, a long way from the national championship dreams they once aspired for.
