The West Virginia Mountaineers and the Big East Conference finally reached an agreement that will allow West Virginia to escape the imploding conference for the safe confines of the Big 12 Conference. However, it was not that long ago that the Big 12 was on the verge of fracturing as well. With four teams leaving the Big 12, they eventually found two to join them and seem as strong as ever heading into the 2012 college athletics seasons.
