I can't remember when I first learned of the WM3, but it was after I watched the HBO documentary "Paradise Lost". I followed the story (not in depth) over the years, and watched the follow up documentary "Paradise Lost 2". I finally was able to catch the most recent installment in the series "Paradise Lost 3", which followed the three boys as they were released from prison.

From what I've seen on the 3 documentaries, it seems that the West Memphis PD did a poor job of looking at all of the potential culprits, but I have a hard time thinking that none of the three boys (guess there not boys anymore) had nothing to do with it. However, if they didn't, the person responsible for the murders will never be brought to justice (at least earthly), as the case has been closed.

They seem to be focusing on Terry Hobbs, the stepfather of one of the kids, now.

A couple of people have come forth and claim that Hobb's nephew said that that Hobbs confessed to his brother.

Unfortunately the truth will probably never come out.

The last installment of the documentary does shed some light on Hobbs, and it's not out of the question that he was involved. Like you said, we'll probably never know the truth.
