Sorry for starting another way too early thread like this, but damn we need to take a kick off to the house already. So who are our most explosive returners that can add another dimension to score and get better field position?

OU will have some speedsters available for 2013. They just are not in Norman right now.

Do not be surprised if you see Sterling Shepard returning both Punts and Kicks. He had a knack of it in High School....along with Durron Neal, Courtney Gardner, Daniel Brooks, and perhaps Derrick Woods (who may get switched to DB).

We need someone who is a threat every time he touches the ball. A good return can really sway momentum in a tight game.

Well, to be honest, any return man can return it to the house when given the proper lanes to run. It all starts and ends with the wall given.

If the punt return team cannot get the wall set, if the kicking team cannot sustain blocks, then not even Antonio Perkins is returning it to the house.

Yes, it takes some more than that, like great field vision. But without proper blocking, not one team will take one to the house!

What OU needs is a dedicated ST coach.

DING DING DING DING!!! WE HAVE A WINNER! We have some super fast guys on the team now but if they can't get any type of sustained blocking they will get demolished. The last time we had a decent ST coach was back when Perkins was looking like a stud. Though he was pretty good at that in HS as well.

Short of being red-shirted for next season, I would be really surprised if he's not in the mix. Kid if FAST!
