glad we got them big while we could... we still should be at least 2 TD's better this year.

The block by Stills on the Reynolds catch was nice

Not having Jazz after Broyles got hurt really killed us...Colvin is going to be a Star this year with Mikey

I second this. We need a big rush off the ends. Is Geno Grissom gonna be getting in there? I thought he was starting to come around towards the end of last season.

Tough to watch that and the k-state game. Oh what could have been.

Scary what could have happened with a healthy Broyles for the entire year... Yah our defense sucked it up later, but a good part was due to sucky offense.

Yeah, I'm just saying it's tough to watch how good we were when we wanted to be.

That's exactly what I was thinking. This team was one of our best at times.

That struck me too. We were just a different team before the injuries.

Three things I noticed that I didn't realize at the time (was probably too excited during the game):

1. Jaz contributed a lot in that game. Can't wait to see how he progresses.

2. Our defense looked hungry/aggressive. As the season went on, and injuries didn't help, that aggression wasn't there.

3. HCBS was throwing the ball up by 38 in the fourth. Bwahahahahaha!!!

That was fun to watch! Thanks for posting it

At around 1:55 Casey Walker's sack was one of my favorite plays of the year!

Great way to start my day!!! It is a shame that OU had all of those injuries later to Whaley and Broyles. Can't wait for this year!!

BOOMER! SOONER!

Ahhh, need that.

Really makes you go back and think how good we were on both sides of the ball before the injuries started taking toll.

And Whaley just as much IMHO.

The Whaley run, the Stills' block, the Fleming steal, and the Bevo bawl. Thank you for the re-post!

I hope Jaz fully recovers and we can see him on the juggle again (about 6:30). My favorite Mushburger line. :)

That's what last year's team was capable of. Too bad injuries and bad luck f***ed us again.

Ahhh, yes. I think he deserves one last look, don't you?

Too bad he is gone. I say we petition the NCAA for 4 more years of Gideon eligibility.... :)

Not exactly the Roy Williams Superman, is it....

Get goosebumps every time I watch it...That stills block rivaled some of the best ever. Sure was a different team after the injuries occurred. The loss of Whaley was crucial. (Along with Broyles as one of the very finest leaders you can find) And, of course, Lewis' foot injury kept him from being anywhere close to 100%... I know injuries are part of the game that all teams have to overcome, but seems to bite the Sooners big time every year..

Good stuff,I'm all fired up and ready for the season.I was also reminded just how good Whaley is......he may be the only Sooner more anxious for the start of the season than me.

Whaley gave us something we haven't had in a while. a guy who could give you a 3rd and 4 conversion even when the other guys knew you were gonna run it. all respect to Demarco or Roy Finch...not the same deal.

obviously, that established is a down you can really call a lot of plays....and throw down the field when the lb's have to commit to the run.

enjoyed the highlights. that was a good day for me. after the game, met a gal i was seeing (she moved back to NYC, was here just for a few months for a job)....we had some great times. that day was one of them and we hung half a hunnerd on texas. godspeed Emma.

I don't think the Team was as different after all the injuries. I think they were exactly who they were. They were a bunch of players who weren't used to being playmakers and were suddenly expected to replace some guys who were taking our Team to the next level. The replacements were just a season from being either benched or superstars.

The worst thing was the fan finger pointing that went on. The Team was greatly affected by the loss of the players like Broyles and Whaley.

It's cool to see a lot of you talking positively about next year. Those of us that got hammered for being happy with a 10-3 Team last year were just already where you are in this thread. Beating Iowa in the Bowl solidified my feelings in that 2012 would /could be a really great Season even though we suffered some devastating losses to the likes of Tech, BU and oSu.

Good job everyone who is looking forward to next Season.
