From ESPN:
UPDATE: If Iowa head coach Kirk Ferentz decides not to hire from within the Hawkeyes' staff, two candidates should immediately rise to the top of the team's list.
"Two names Iowa football fans: Brian Ferentz and Jay Norvell," Troy Banning of the Webster City Daily Freeman-Journal tweeted. "Don't know where, but (I) think they'll be on staff next year. Norvell OC."
Brian Ferentz is the logical choice on this Super Bowl Sunday. The New England Patriots' tight ends coach is Kirk Ferentz's son. He started three seasons (2002-05) at center for the Hawkeyes. He could be named coordinator this week after Super Bowl festivities.
Jay Norvell is the co-offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach at Oklahoma. Norvell has experience in the state having coached with Iowa State from 1995-97. He was also a candidate to become Wisconsin's new coordinator before deciding to stay at Oklahoma.
