Miles didn't get Gunner, so what does he do? He insults him. Nice!

When has Les Miles been classy. I remember when he said he never says his team loses but that they come in 2nd? How many coaches eat grass on the sideline. Have the fans put up a Fire Les Miles site again?

Typical Leslie.

.....even that mean, ruthless, cutthroat, "skirt to the very edge of the rules" Nick Saban would never do that.;)

classy coach for a classy fanbase

Stoops always represents OU well. That is a lot to be proud of, especially for a major program.

I can see talking about kid behind closed doors, but to put him on blast like that in the public. What an a$$.

I think Les must have hit his head on the way out of the superdome back on the night of 1/9.....he hasn't been the same since.:concern:

I noticed that too. I guess that Kentucky QB for several years ago found some more eligibility.

Q: What's the difference between Les Miles and 300 lbs of horse manure?

A: About a hundred lbs.

Yeah, playing for a nationally followed team with it's own national network contract that puts you under scrutiny every week to a fanatical and unrealistic fanbase is def the cowards way out.

This will not turn out well for Lester.....me thinks the higher administration powers will not be pleased.

Meh... LSU fans deserve someone that reflects their fanbase with almost pinpoint accuracy... big mouth, offends many, others look at with disdain, etc. etc.

I don't miss having him close by... I do miss beating his team, though. Maybe we'll get a chance to beat Lester again one of these years.

Q: How are Les Miles and 300 lbs of horse manure the same?

A: Both could coach two-loss LSU to the 2007 national championship.

OK, who else wants to try to make manure jokes funnier? :P

he didn't have any problem with the fact the kid de-comitted from Indiana in the first place, now did he?

where's the outrage for that?

As long as you mentioned Indiana, I thought I'd see how Kevin Wilson did... got 25 apparently.

I checked on scout and it's filled with two and three star players. Rivals said the same thing.

So, not a big splash like Gunner would have been, but looks like he just wanted to fill needs. Hope he doesn't go 1-11 again :(

On the joke: "Horses poop it....Les spews it."

This is probably a stupid question -- but GK de-committed, right? As in, Les offered him a scholarship which was verbally accepted and then ultimately rejected, yes? These remarks would be classless in ANY circumstance, but unless the offer was rescinded (prior to the de-commitment) this is Les saying that "The kid we wanted, we didn't want."

I mean -- is that REALLY the deal? I don't expect a lot from the guy, but that seems legitimately baffling -- yet unless there's a piece that I don't know (which is possible) it seems to be the case. Do I just need to lower my expectations of him even further?

I think there's an old children's fable that deals with this issue. Something to do with a fox and some grapes.

Your expectations should be that he eats grass, effs up his coaching on big games and wears a big hat.

If you are have higher expectations you do need to lower them. :les:

Right. That sums up my expectations pretty well.

But this seems even more ludicrous and just generally . . . childlike?

Ol' Less played for Michigan in the '76 Orange Bowl on their O-Line. He probably got knocked around pretty good by the younger Selmons, so he probably still suffers from brain damage they inflicted on his oversized melon. That might explain his brain-eradicated response to Kiel's de-commit.
