So here is the deal with the number change! So I received a call and I was informed that I would've to buy all jerseys that's been produced

AdrianPeterson (http://twitter.com/AdrianPeterson)
Thus far! N the total amount that I would have to pay blew my mind!!!!!

AdrianPeterson (http://twitter.com/AdrianPeterson)
Why? Ok so I see maybe ten thousand dollars of my total jersey sales! That's it!!! In I know I've mostly likely been in the top ten

AdrianPeterson (http://twitter.com/AdrianPeterson)
When it comes to top sales ! Why in the hell do I have to pay a Million dollars to change my number! I don't even get paid a million
AdrianPeterson (http://twitter.com/AdrianPeterson)
Dollars by my sponsors a year! Wow!!!
AdrianPeterson (http://twitter.com/AdrianPeterson)
N I'm talking about my nike deal

So people may not understand some of the things I say from MY POINT OF VEIW! But this situation says a lot!

Good thing Nike is one of his sponsors

Now why would AD want to change his number... he's been 28 for a very long time.

Also, I thought player numbers change all the time for whatever reason. For example, when Fav-ruh went to Minnyhaha, the guy that used to have 4 (loser ex-USC quarterback Booty) had to switch... and I think he got cut shortly after.

Nike should be happy, a lot of people who already bought #28 will buy the new number.

I wonder if Nike raised this big of a stink when Baby Bron Bron took his talents to South Beath. Nooooooooooo we have a logo with the 23 in it and now you're #6! And you have a new team! What about our giant WITNESS poster in Cleveland?!?!?!

ppbbbbtth. Sign with Adidas or Under Armour if Nike is all stupid

Nike has the same policy for b-ball, so Lebron had to wait a year to change to 6. He was going to do it before he left Cleveland, but he got hit with the same news as AD. It just so happened he also switched teams. He was going to change to 6 regardless.

For the record, I'd like to see AD stick with 28, but it's a number, it's really not that big of a deal.

Seems like Nike should just worry about the actual cost of production of the jerseys they have on hand. How much can 10,000 jerseys have cost them in material and child labor? $3 each?

That's what I was thinking. They may lose some inventory but they open the market up for people to buy new jerseys.

I'm actually surprised they don't ask guys to change their jerseys. They probably do ask them to change but plan accordingly so as to get rid of the old inventory. It's sort of the same reason teams change their colors to sell more merchandise.

I remember back in the day I had a Buffalo Sabres coat. I don't care much about hockey by my ex was a fan. That coat was really warm. She bought me the coat the last year they had the traditional blue/yellow colors. A few years later I went to a game and everyone loved my "retro" coat. Then of course they changed back so the red/black stuff now appears retro. Once they changed the colors back I gave the coat to my ex since she's a fan and the coat is again "modern".

The Vikings star tweeted he recently considered changing his number from 28 to either 23 or 21.

23

Said his previous favorite number was 29 (Dickerson) but couldn't get it in HS and ended up with 28.

Low profile guys can do it. The problem is all of the uniforms that have been made. AD is star.

In the NBA, they have made guys like Kobe and Lebron wait a year before changing.
