Dear local tulsa businesses,

It might have sounded like a good idea to get tv advertising. Did you realize it would be during an ou womens basketball game on a crappy lo def channel? Did anyone tell you a cheezy depiction of breaking outta jail was a stupid idea for bail bond ad? Didn't you see how stupid your car lot would look in a still shot with the wacky waving inflatable arm flailing tube man was in the midst of being wacky?

In short, local tulsa businesses, you wasted your money on those ads. They suck as much as ou's shooting.

I assume, being at Lawrence, that the officials at the scoring bench decided that Goodrich's shot was good?

I think i'm gonna do laundry during halftime... its a ku broadcast team talking at half anyway.

The important parts you should all know are:

1- reffing is erratic, weird foul calls both sides.

2- turnovers aplenty for both sides.

3- shooting is very wtf on both sides.

So in other words, we are playing our mirror image, except our evil reflection got miracle buzzer beater in, so they're ahead.

I am not sure we've hit any threes, either... if we did it was early

Per GameTracker, we have outshot KU 42% to 35% from the field, but we are 0-5 from BYA, while KU is 3-10. OU is shooting 75% from the stripe (3-4) while KU is 50% (2-4).

OK, I had to log into my computer to check the roster and confirm because low def broadcasts on high def tvs are especially fuzzy --- Jacqueline Jeffcoat was in the game before the timeout. I kid you not, Jacq actually got on the floor and not just from jumping from the bench to celebrate.

:( she promptly passed the ball to ku, which led to the shot that put KU up by 8, which led to Sherri calling timeout. Not sure if Jacq will still be out there after the timeout.

Thank goodness for a run. We have a free throw coming up after Deshawn (or was it Sharane?) put back a Morgan Hook fast drive miss and got fouled. Currently 38-36 KU with 16 left.

Jacq is still out there, but really isn't doing much except contributing on defense right now, maybe setting a few screens on offense. Her mind is probably OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG after being on the bench for so long and actually getting to play right now. I know I'd be excited with this opportunity if I was her.

Because nobody would have believed that the puny, pathetic tornado that couldn't even destroy Dorothy's house, just make it float a little in the air, would have been in Oklahoma.

Oklahoma's tornadoes are badarse. Kansas' tornadoes are what Hollywood could handle at the time. The technology just wasn't there back then for an Oklahoma-sized tornado.

Also, nobody would have believed that it was Oklahoma in black and white. Only Kansas could be depicted as dull and boring with angry old ladies on bikes, not Oklahoma.

We can't offensively rebound, but we are in bonus and we are getting some shots to fall.

They finally blew the whistle so it's also a TV timeout.

Will we pull this off? My gut says no, but the fan in me is eternally optimistic.

I had no idea KU was ranked 25 in one of the polls, or I would have set vBookie at a bit of a spread in their favor instead of at even. I have like 10k riding on my sooners. I'm gonna be back in vWelfare if we don't pull this off. :(

Apparently she's still taping her hand, so her hand is sick I guess you could say. I think she'll be back to normal when her hand is.

I'd caution against that approach, because our rebounding SUCKED and that may have created an opportunity for them to win, as opposed to just tie it.

You may be right. We got out boarded 39 - 34 tonight. Nicole Griffin desperately needs to build a little bit of an attitude, along with putting on a few pounds. KayKay was a hoss tonight, with 10 ribbies and 4-5 from the field. She has a high ceiling.

This team as a whole is a YOUNG team, with only two seniors on the whole team, Cerina and Hartman. If it weren't for Griner, we could very likely contend for the Big 12 championship next year, IMO, but as long as she is at Baylor, the Bears will dominate.
