His offer list reads like the who’s who of college football: LSU, Ohio State, Michigan, Notre Dame, Florida State.

Yet, Uriah LeMay (Matthews, N.C./Butler) hasn’t received an offer from Oklahoma. And the Class of 2013 receiver prospect would love to have one.

The LeMay family is quite familiar with Bob Stoops. Uriah’s father, Stacy, is a pastor who was a chaplain at the University of Florida before the family moved to North Carolina in 2005.

“I ministered the athletes when Coach Stoops was down there [1996-1998], we got to know him and watch him coach players,” Stacy LeMay said. “Then, with him going on to Oklahoma, he’s a very good coach and it would be a honor for him to play for a coach like that.”

Asked about Uriah's interest in OU, Stacy said: “It’s pretty strong.”

Uriah has heard from OU receivers coach Jay Norvell via email but “not a lot of personal communication” according to Stacy.

The LeMays, who have another son Christian who is a quarterback at Georgia, will likely take a college tour this summer in the midwest with OU a likely destination assuming the Sooners increase their interest in Uriah.

A big, physical receiver, Uriah appears to have the ability to make an immediate impact wherever he ends up. At 6-foot-1, 194 pounds, Uriah brings excellent open field running ability with his great size at receiver. He expects to bring multiple assets to the table in college.

“The ability to stretch the field and being more physical than the guy in front of me,” said Uriah Lemay, when asked about his greatest strength.
