I don't know much about Kish as a coach, but the guy can recruit (and the fact that he'll be able to use OU's tradition will only add to his success). Here's one example of out-recruiting some big schools for an elite athlete:
Kish out-recruited Ohio State, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Clemson and others to land the New England Patriots Pro Bowl tight end. Gronkowski went on to earn All-American and All-Pac 10 honors with the Wildcats before he was drafted in the second round of the 2010 NFL Draft.

Don't know enough about Kish to be excited or bummed. I'll just trust in Stoops and see how we look next year.

That guy isn't a linebacker. I honestly don't give a crap how well the guy can recruit any other position...

Well, that's kind of what we needed besides a guy to break out the ole chalkboard and teach guys how to tackle. Look at the long list of guys Venables was a part of "stealing" from other programs during the Stoops era.
