ESPN ran a special today about how their top 150 from '08 had done. Here are the Sooner recruits from the ESPNU 2008 top 150:
7. Jermie Calhoun - Transfer (FCS Angelo State University)
11. R.J. Washington - Active (starting to show some promise going into his senior season)
13. Josh Jarboe - Kicked off team prior to first season (went to play at Troy but was also kicked off that team. Played one year at Northeast Mississippi JC, and finally ended up at FBS Arkansas State).
72. Jameel Owens - Transferred (after two sub-par years at OU, Owens transferred to FBS Tulsa. In 2011 granted a leave of absence from Tulsa).
84. Stephen Good - Active (Good has been on the 2-deep since day one).
92. Daniel Franklin - Active (backup ILB and special teams player. Redshirted 2008).
122. Landry Jones - Active (obviously the best recruit of 2008).
125. Justin Johnson - Transferred (first to Abilene Christian, then to D3 McMurry).
Just goes to show you how far off the recruiting services can be. ESPNU ranked Mark Ingram 108th in the 2008 class.
