Beginning ACL rehab. Wonder if he's getting tips from Jason White? :)

"I feel like the first week was the toughest part for me, not being able to sleep, waking up every two hours, just dealing with the pain and the frustration, looking ahead like, 'Wow, I've got a long way before I'm able just to move around and walk,'" Peterson said. "But after that first week, I feel like things really just started to calm down. The pain started to subside. I was able to just get more motivated about the process."

He looks different in this photo... rounder face, I think:

I hope AD is able to fully recover - he sure is fun to watch! Hands down the best RB in NFL.

Hopefully, not a kinder, gentler AD.

Definitely... best RB in the NFL.

I believe AD will astound the football world with his comeback.

I think the beard makes me do a double take where I almost didn't recognize him. If he can stay healthy for 5 more seasons, I think he can be successful enough to be a first ballot hall of famer.

I hope not! But a little consult from Wes Welker would be great. ;)

I'm right at 2 months post-op on my ACL. I'm a fat beer-drinking lazy-arse. He'll do fine. He'll just have to understand that there will be a new way the knee feels "normal."

He won't be the same. Sorry, but nobody ever is, in spite of modern medicine.

Absolutely correct. Welker is possibly even better! Thanks!!

Somebody is seriously perplexed by the fact that his face looks rounder? Did I read that right?

We are really underrepresented in the HOF and a lot of that has to due to injuries. Billy Sims definitely had a HOF career through his first 5 or so years.

I recognize that this is one of the key factors to having a HOF career. The way the NFL works - especially for RB's - there's probably 2 or 3 HOF caliber players for every one who was lucky enough to remain healthy and make it to the HOF.

The thing about Peterson is that I don't think he even needs to have outstanding years from here on out. If you look at HOF running backs, there are a lot who had 5 or so really good seasons and 5 or more mediocre season. It would help if Peterson had a couple of more monster years but the important thing from here on out is for him to simply play a few more years.
