Well, if BV's gone... Mike better be one HELL of a DC without him. That's something that he didn't have the luxury of proving before. BV is a big time Texas recruiter and a great LB coach and defensive mind. And the guy is as fiery as anyone out there.

Latest one I saw was Ryan Reynolds as Linebacker coach and Roy as a GA from Trotter. I can see Roy Williams sitting there laughing like crazy at the havoc he is doing tonight.

I don't see this happening unless he is given the run game coordinator type title. I don't seeing pulling Josh from that role although he has some room for improvement.

That is my biggest concern too. Let's put this recruiting class to bed before starting all the different rumors and innuendos. All we need is to lose more recruits after all the transfers we've had.

Yeah, a great defensive mind that had a program like Oklahoma ranked 58th and 43rd in rushing defense in a spread based offensive conference the last two seasons! Brent's only fiery in the 'Red River War', he's pretty mundane outside of that. This coaching staff's philosophy has always been to stop the run first and well, they haven't been stopping it. Sure, that's due to not having good defensive tackles, but that still goes right back to coaching, scheming, evaluation and recruiting.

Can Mike Stoops shore up that hole in the middle of our defense that we've had for a few years? Will he come out of the "bend but don't break" defense that Brent just loves, (although we're getting gashed all the way down the field), before it get's you beat? How about that 15 yard cushion our cornerbacks give receivers so we can keep everything in front of us? OU needs changes made to our defense as bad as any team in the country. Let's hope we get them.

Ryan Reynolds is entering the draft this year.. he's been working out hard core. I've heard rumors that Roy Williams is going to come to OU as a DB coach, but I can't confirm that... just rumors at this point.
