There are some great flicks coming out this year, but the Ridley Scott sci-fi Prometheus (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1446714/) is the one I'm most anxious to see. Oh, and World War Z (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0816711/).

The Iron Lady

I'm pumped too. Meryl Streep is the greatest actress of all time and I hope this gets her another Best Actress Oscar.

I've read the film itself doesn't live up to her performance however.

Yup, hobbit. There might be another live action Teenage mutant ninja turtles movie. Those were pretty much my favorite as a child.

Lots of big budget sequels/continuation of series films coming out this year it seems like.

Men in Black franchise bringing back it's 3rd film after several years....not sure

Stallone churning out another Expendables movie....Probably will be turrible, but the cast is what will really draw the audience in.

The next Batman movie will be another blockbuster...maybe not as massive as the last one, but it'll still make a ton o'money

The next Spider-Man movie also comes out in July...can't be worse than the Spidey 3, right?

Surprise hit of 2008, Taken with Liam Neeson is back for a 2nd film. The first movie was such a huge success b/c Neeson was a bad-***. Will be interesting if they can strike gold again.

Renner takes over the next segment of the Bourne series. Renner gets a thumbs up in my book...I'll definitely see this.

Daniel Craig is back as 007 in the next Bond movie, Skyfall. Javier Bardem in a villain role is very intriguing.

American Pie franchise, the actual original one and not the crazy mess of spin-offs, is back for another film....why, this is I'm not really sure.

The next G.I. Joe movie comes out this summer too.

Oh and how can you forget Nick Cage reprising his role in the 2nd Ghostrider movie? Gonna be awesome, right?

-----------------

On the non-sequel front...

Definitely interested in the Hobbit movie

Three Stooges movie comes out. I just hope the Farrelly brothers can do the Stooges justice, but I fear this will be terrible.

World War Z looks interesting.

The next Sacha Baron Cohen vehicle comes out this year....supposed to be a play on Saddam or something.

Hunger Games movie is going to be huge.

That World War Z trailer is a hodge-podge of other zombie/assorted apocalypse film clips. There's a healthy smattering of audio from the original Night of the Living Dead in there. I'd definitely go see a WWZ movie, though. I need to read the book again.

Yeah, that trailer is "fan made", not the actual trailer. However, Brad Pitt has signed on to play Gerry.

I know right?! I loved the Alien movies (well, the first two anyway), and this has that same kind of feel. Can't wait!

Dark Knight Rises
The Amazing Spiderman
The new Bond
Red Dawn remake
Not sure about new Bourne... Renner is the lead but is not playing Jason Bourne...not sure how you can have a Bourne movie with no Bourne

does look an awful lot like this:

It was originally planned as a prequel, but now it's only said to be distantly related to the Alien movies.

That is my initial fear of this movie. However, I saw an interview with Scott where he said it may "share Alien's DNA, it is a totally separate movie"...that only served to confuse me.
