Anyone watching this game. Curious to what people think about WV and how they will come in and compete against current Big 12 members

We saw what they can do in their own league. They will have a tough time competing for championships in the big 12.

Clemson sucks anyway!

I think they are as good of an addition as we can hope for. A winning tradition and they seem to do well in bowl games.

Oh and I think they'll compete for championships in the Big 12.

We have had some big trouble with QBs like WV. They also have a lot of speed. We couldn't of beat them this year.

I dare say OU would have a tough time with this WVU team....

Does WVU lose much from this team. I know their defense doesn't look that good, but their offense could be downright scary especially with a QB that is as fast as Geno is

They can compete but it will be leagues tougher than the big east! Hence my saying they will have a tough time competing for them in the the big 12.

Clemson's defense can't cover, can't tackle, can't do much of anything and their offense isn't helping them out by keeping them off the field.

So when the recap of the bowl season articles talk about conference bowl records, will they throw West Virginny in with the Big 12. "The Big 12 ended up 7-1, 8-1 if you include future member West Virginia" or something like that?

It would be cool if Kansas State could indeed beat the pigs. It'll put a little chink in the armor of the "SEC is the best conference" mentality.

How about a little aggie logic:

Take away the second quarter and the score is 28-23 . . .

Geez, I'm gettin' old. They just mentioned that this is the 30 year anniversary of Clemson's last appearance in the Orange Bowl (when they won the NC over Nebraska). I remember Homer Jordan, Perry Tuttle, & the Fridge like it was yesterday.

I forgot about TCU's bowl win. The future Big 12 will be 9-1 if KSU beats Arkansas. Not too shabby.

we lose the wins by aTm and Mizoo, tho, so it would be 7-1, but that's pretty damn good.

You're not getting the spirit of "spin" accounting. We count those wins, but drop them like a hot potato if they had lost ;)

WVU >> TAMU
WVU >> MU

TCU = TAMU
TCU = MU

Big XII will be tougher next year.

WVU will be an upper echelon team

TCU will be a mid-tier team capable of beating the better teams, but not consistently having the talent to compete in a full Big XII schedule.

West Virginia seems to have a good track record in recent bowls, so last night did not surprise me. Since 2006 (the 2005 season, but the bowl was in January 2006), they're 5-2, including a four-win streak from 2006-2008.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Where's Stupidca in all this? That being said, Take Me Home Country Roads, I think we added 2 great teams to our conference. Future Big-12 woodsheds ACC chumps. I like this quote from their coach: "It was like a virus," Clemson coach Dabo Swinney said.

Big East. If they were in the ACC they wouldn't leave.

I can't think of any team (except the basketball ones) that will wanna be in the Big Least at this point.

? - They would be a better geographical fit with a move to the ACC, but I am sure you are talking about their legal battle to leave the Big East.

Either way, the only thought going through my mind while watching last night it is the Big 12 just added a team with tons of speed that runs another variation of one of those chicken s -- t offenses that drive our coaches and our players batty and make them look like they've never seen tackle football before. The Big 12 doesn't need any additional offense. Tech, Oklahoma State, and Baylor are enough. Let's recruit some teams that run traditional offenses.

If only we could have added a team with the offensive imagination of Woody Hayes to the Big 12. Like Iowa. Can we get Iowa in the Big 12 and send West Virginia packing? Our defense can handle teams that try to run straight at you. West Virginia will hit us for 40 next year.
