This is the Team I have followed since 1973. They have had a tough year and yet they are in a decent Bowl Game against a fair opponent and they are trying to see who is gonna play for us next year and who is gonna move on to the Pros with respect.

They didn't come out tonight to have fun....they came out to show some of you that they do care and that they don't care if some of their Team Mates don't believe in themselves....They believe and the Coaches are looking for the guys who believe. Other than that....you can ask the question that Bob did...."Why did you come to OU?" and you can ask yourself as a fan...."Why the hell do you watch this Team? I think they are out there to win but also out there to see who is gonna be a leader next year.

These cheap shots some of the folks are taking at our guys is getting old and I'm not gonna stop calling folks on it. When I see Trey sitting on the bench hurt or Landry take a Head Shot....I know they aren't out there giving up....they are out there playing to win...

You are right...at some point it will be up to the Players. But they never thought they would be in this position either....so I'm saying that I think "Your at some point" is happening right now and that you should give them a break.

That's a decent point. You know when hitters go into a slump in Baseball or Pitchers can't find the strike zone? Landry had really depended on Ryan and Stills as his 2nd for 3 years and suddenly things aren't the same and then even the guys who replaced them start dropping passes or also getting injured. You start to lose faith in who you can count on. It sometimes takes some time to turn things around and find the guys that just become a natural instinctual guy you don't even think twice about when you toss him the ball on 3rd and 18.

Could be that one broke the ice. I surely hope so as Landry seems to be really trying out there tonight IMO. He deserves a good night.

Now...that might not satisfy you or the folks that have been waiting for Brent Venables to lose his job....but to me....it shows just how good Brent is and how good the Players we have left out there really are once you get rid of the guys that don't go out there and play lights out football.

I think that's been well established and the reasons why are pretty clear but I still think there are a lot of positives to look for in this one.
