It's arguably possible for them to go '0-fer' on that sched. And that would be amusing to watch.

I cant believe they gave up something like this:

TCU
Texas
Kansas
Texas Tech
Iowa State
Baylor
Oklahoma State
Kansas State
Oklahoma

For that. What losers.....

It does help that 3 of the 1st 4 are at home. Although I still consider those to be losses, it helps. However, it also is a great recurring tool for the almighty SEC. Anybody have Mizzery's schedule?

I think Mizzery will do OK in the east. If they had Georgia's schedule, they'd be in the SEC champ game.

That is true...UGA gets another easy schedule next year also. Mizzery's toughest conference games will be UGA, South Carolina, and Alabama next year

Both A & M and Mizzou got their azzes handed to them this season by the Big 12. Doubt they'll do much worse in the SEC.

SEC declares first ever "toilet bowl" championship
Associate Depressed

The Southeastern Conference, also commonly known as the S-E-C, announced its first-ever "toilet bowl" championship, honoring the football programs of the conference who were not bowl eligible.

"This is to showcase teams from the greatest football conference in the country who will not be showcased during the postseason," said SEC spokesman Nat King.

The first two competitors of this new "toilet bowl" championship will be the newest members of the SEC, Texas A&M and the University of Missouri.

"We are also proud to offer an attendance subsidy to the host of this event, as neither team is expected to bring very many fans themselves," King said.

King said participants in the subsidy will receive $75, parking validation, and grant access to the event (http://deadspin.com/5863863/someone-is-offering-to-pay-people-75-to-attend-the-big-ten-championship-game).

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, however, said game attendees will still pay $60 to $90 for pizzas (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_corner/post/The-new-Dallas-Cowboys-Stadium-will-offer-60-pi?urn=nfl-180810).

That is a real conundrum. Maybe they will win all of their sec games and lose all of their oc games?

Kinda like watching ut and osu play.......all you can hope for is for an earthquake to open up and take them both.

They are tough at the top but what I think most folks grow tired of is how the entire conference is deemed to be so incredibly good. Meh.

I would agree with this to a certain extent. Much hinges on the performance of Arkansas, Georgia, and South Carolina in the bowl games.

To keep it on topic, Florida, Miss ST, Ole Miss, Auburn, and Arkansas are definitely winnable games for the Ags.

Auburn has neither an offense nor a defense to speak of.
Arkansas has no defense to speak of.
Miss ST is a .500 program with a good defense but not much of an offense.
Ole Miss is a complete joke.
Florida will struggle again this year due to terrible recruiting by Urbz.

What more do you want? 6 straight MNCs not enough for you?

As for A&M's schedule only Bama and LSU are sure losses. Ole Miss, Missouri, Florida should be wins and the rest are toss-ups.

I hate to break it to you but these are the 2 most schizoid teams that we had in the big 12. Predicting which games they win is a crapshoot. They play like gangbusters for 2-3 weeks a season and pull off some serious upsets only to drop some to teams with a 2-10 record.

As a matter of a fact, LSU and Bama are going to HATE aTm as they had a tendency to rise out of no where and kill undefeated seasons.

I think it's more of a failure of the top teams in the Big XII to play consistently. The OU that walloped KState wasn't the same OU that played TTech or oSu.

The TTech game was case in point of what I'm talking about. Their QB was ON FIRE. He didn't come close to performing at 75% of that level the rest of the year. I'm fairly sure that aTm has knocked out 3 #1 or 2 teams over the last decade (us twice, kstate once).

The voters wouldn't dream of having a championship game without an SEC team. See LSU in 2007. It's gotten so ridiculous we get two this year. So they one them. Even with a month off period, which favors SEC style football, the games are close. Florida beat the crap out of an overrated TOSU. Our game was close. Texas played Bama close with effin Gilbert Grape!

They play a style of ball that suits the BCS postseason. They are not untouchable. I'm starting to support a playoff, then you'll see how the SEC fairs.

For the record .. we also know two of our 4 OOC games ... open the season hosting McNeese St and traveling to play at SMU the week after Florida. Most likely the other two games will be "buy" home wins.

I think we can possibly win at home against a 6-6 Florida squad. They will be breaking in a new QB and an new OC. Mississippi and Mississippi St are also winnable. a 6-6 opr 7-5 season for us is very possible. In other words ... not much different that A&M in the Big-12 most years ... lol

Mac94
12/28/2011, 04:25 PM
Realistically ... the games we can realistically win (or lose) are

Florida 6-6
Missouri (8-5)
@ Auburn 7-5
@ Mississippi St. 6-6
@ Ole Miss 2-10

Split those or better and win all 4 OOC (@SMU will be the toughest) and we can have a decent year one in our new league.

SEC
Big10
Pac-12
ACC

"Status Quo" Strategy Conferences:

Big XII
Mountain West (for now, until merger w/ WAC comes to fruition)
WAC (for now, until merger w/ Mountain West comes to fruition)
Big East (for now, until merger w/ Conf. USA comes to fruition)
