Sometime in the spring, I'll be making a solo trip out to the Phoenix area. I've been to Sante Fe and Albuquerque, but never all the way to Arizona. Looking for just a few good things to see on the way. The only thing I have thought of adding in is a side trip up to the "sky walk" bridge over the Grand Canyon. I've seen the Palo Duro canyon out near Amarillo, but people say the Grand Canyon is even more impressive.
I'm male, so obviously anything to do with shopping, art, wine or serenity spas is out. I Like more scenic and uncrowded type things. Maybe find an arrowhead. Was also wondering if their are any good, clean old Route 66 type motels along the way. Like Rain Main. Not going to be an extended trip, but want to make the most of the drive.
Its possible I could be blood tested and polygraphed when I get home.
