I never said it was the whole point. Obviously honoring Austin was key. But I guess you missed the conversations before the season about how this was going to bind the team together and inspire them to play well. That part didn't seem to happen.

there are some embarrassing classless posts in this thread. the sooners had plenty of subpar losing performances on defense when austin was alive and playing, but it is only honorable and respectful to pay homage to him if the team plays great defense and wins every game? pathetic

Rocking the #12 is to honor a fallen teammate. While we are all upset at the season and the defense, that still does not negate the fact that they wish to honor Austin.

And I agree with the fact that there are some classless posts on here.
