I saw him in Tulsa in April and loved it. I wanted to see him in OKC or Dallas this fall but couldn't. I enjoyed the concert a lot.....his voice isn't what it once was of course, but still a great show. I say go.

had a friend saw him recently.....das what he told me.Too bad for your friend! last night's show was XCLNT. I would say his voice was about 90% of its original quality, and his band was superb. They played all the songs I wanted to hear, except "Like a Rock". He even did version of the Tina Turner song "Nutbush City Limits", and did her proud. I'm glad I heeded mjcpr.

Mike, did you go to the show? If you are still in the Valley for OU's game with Iowa next friday, be sure to come by the Tailgate we will have (OU club of PHX) friday afternoon. Anybody else is welcome too. Contact OUr club pres., Lindee Long, for details. (I don't know any details yet) Her email address is: [email protected]

Thanks Bill. I will be, and I'll probably do that. I was just talking with yermom, and he plans to go to the game as well.

I ended up going to the Tom Segura standup show downtown. Funny dude.

5-0He DID sing that, and he said it was his first hit, from 1968. I remembered the song, of course, but had forgotten that it was his song. He putzed along after that, and then had Night Moves in the '70's, then he PWNED the 80's with the myriad of hits he had then. I would say "Roll Me Away" is my fave Seger song. Other faves would be Main Street, On the Road Again, and maybe Hollywood Nights. He did all of them in the show.

Yermom; you had better stop by the Tailgate, too. Contact Lindee, and tell her I sent you.(if you dare)

I think the voice thing was more from him being sick not long ago. I'd have to go back and check, but he's a regular at some events in town up here.

Hey, the guy is probably in his 60's, and most people DO lose some of their singing ability by that age.

yeah he's in his latter 60s now. There's no way he can keep the strength in the vocal cords like he used to have.
