While I am incredibly happy for Fraschilla finally getting a shot to go in during a game and not a trick shot youtube video (lol), there were tons of players to feel happy for on a bad shooting night.

How bout Casey Arndt getting points and boards after... what did Billy say? A two-week scoring drought? Ouch.

How bout CJ Washington getting 12 boards?

Very awesome all-around effort by the team :)

Yep, pretty good. Beat up a pretty crappy team. On the road now at a Big East squad who likes to sucker punch peeps.

We will need to shoot a bit better than we did last night and hit the boards just as hard to come out of Cincy with a win.

Beating this team by twice as much as PITT did.

A quote from SC State's head coach:

"We played Pitt, who at that time I believe was ranked No. 14 in the country, and with three minutes to go we’re down nine. But Pitt’s defense was nothing as difficult as what we faced tonight.”

Soooo... we might a second coaches vote in the USA Today/ESPN poll next week :D

I must admit that this is kind of like cloud 9 status, where an undertalented no-name group of guys comes together under a first-year (at new program) coach installing a new I'm-gonna-defend-you-to-death system and you have to wonder where it stops.

Right now, we're winning all of the games we should win and winning them by nice margins, even with crappy shooting nights like last night.

 Perhaps it was the Felton J the Third conditioning, or our football season, but you have to wonder when this is all gonna crash down back to reality and we start losing games by big margins, we start suffering devastating injuries, we lose close games to mediocre opponents...

:D But I'm gonna enjoy this while I can!

Don't be such a party pooper! :) I think we're actually pretty good. If our Coach K can take us to the big dance this year I'll be first to pop the champagne.

I promise that I'm not trying to be Debbie Downer! It's just that I've given my heart to OU sports so many times and had it broken repeatedly... what if I let me heart break again and it won't mend for once :(

Oh, let me count the ways...

2001 football: Wow, I've never had a good football team to cheer for in person! This is the greatest ever! Since we won a national title last year, maybe I can see us win one this year

Later: Trick play noooooooooooooooooooo. OSU at home noooooooooooooooooooooooo :(

2001-02 womens basketball: I am sooo thankful that I was assigned to the womens basketball band! They are tons of fun to watch and it doesn't look like any team can beat them! Now I can get that national championship that I missed out on in football!

Later: UConn noooooooooooooooooooooooo :(

I imagine I would have felt the same way if I had been assigned to the men's band that season :(

Why do sports have to involving losing?

we looked rough early...shooting %...SC had some bad shooting as well or they would have been in it closer...until the half.

I do like our D, but we cannot get our 2 pg's in foul trouble early. I also like the subbing Coach K did, I think maybe after the last 2 weeks we went deeper to develop some post guys...since we will need that. Obviously Blair and Neal are the guards coming in, but we'll need post depth. I think if CJ and Arndt..can develop and give the team 10 to 15 min each...grab 8 to 13 boards between then and put up 10 pts between them we'll be ok.

I really think the team believes in each other and loves to play with each other...THAT is the biggest difference..wish Cade could have been a part of this yr..

BOOMER SOONER!
