Scout has him rated a 4-Star. He is another JUCO guy, and we now have 3 or 4 new JUCO's

I'm a little puzzled about this one. Rivals shows this guy as a 3 star which I can take with a grain of salt but shows his 40 time as 4.5. This just seems too slow for a DB at this level. Our DB's have been getting torched enough. Adding slowness at the corners isn't going to help at all.

1. 4.5 second 40 isn't slow and those times are notoriously inaccurate. It depends on if that was hand timed/ electronically timed, on grass/track/turf, a single timed 40 or best out of 2-3 attempts. I wouldn't worry about it; it's game speed that's more important.
2. I think shuttle times are as if not more important than 40s for corners. It's all about quickness.

I agree there are variables but for comparison purposes wouldn't the recruiting sites use a standard
method? I don't know I'm asking. Also agree about the quickness but there are a few plays each year where there is no substitute for straight-line speed to run a guy down from behind. That's when you need that guy who has 4.3 speed on the corner.
