On the sports animal yesterday. He's pretty darn good at it. I was disappointed when I had to turn the radio off.

What's he up to these days, aside from not answering a knock at his door at 5 a.m. :(

Real good as a matter of fact. I hope the SA finds a place for him in their lineup.

I like Dusty and Teddy on the Ref. They are new to the game and still rough around the edges, but they are both super bright and have a lot to offer.

He is on twitter a lot, @Just_JD38 is his twitter name. His bio was for a time "Yeah, I am that guy from HardKnocks" lol.

He is a very good speaker. I love hearing him when he's on the Animal.

I mean this in the nicest possible way...

Is one of you knuckleheads that actually heard him going to relate what was talked about (for us out-of-state folks), or just leave it at "JD Runnels was on the radio and he sounded good"....

"Go ahead, caller, you're on the air"...

"Oh, uh... hey..."

"Hi... go ahead, what is your question for JD?"

"Uh... I just wanted to say... like..."

"Caller, we are going to have to go to commercial, what is your question, please..."

"Well... Hey JD"

"Hey"

"Uhh... you sound really good on the radio"

"Thanks, I appreciate it."

"... and that's all the time we have. Thanks for joining us, JD. Tune in next segment for our OU and oSu sound off...."

You know you can download an app for your phone that will allow you to listen to SA live on your cellphone, this is the one I use

With a bluetooth adapter in my car I occasionally listen to the Sports Animal over 3g on my way to work here in LA

He's been on the SA multiple times before. Him and PT are really good. I actually prefer them to the normal lineup that talks about movie trivia when there's a major sports story everyone else is talking about-- they avoid it. That said, JD and PT are new and I can't see them on air every single day yet. Takes a bit more personality, ego and quirkiness to be on and successful everyday.

I.... did not know that. Seriously, thank you.

Though I have to admit... while my job requires that I have a good degree of "tech savvy"... At home I do all I can to unplug. So smart phone... I has not. Just a dumb phone... fits my personality better... waitaminute...
