View Full Version : Why I deleted "delete me"

For those of you that are new, "NSFW" stands for "Not Safe For Work."

Many work computers cannot view certain sites because of certain content. SF.com tries to maintain a certain level of quality control on its content so that SF.com is not one of the sites that gets banned from workplace computers.

"delete me," highly unregulated for quite some time, had recently had a string of extremely "NSFW" images that were not labeled as such, but just blatantly out there for anyone who was viewing the thread to view.

Please take this as a very huge warning from someone that isn't even a real Modador --- posting NSFW images and content is a big no-no. It can get your banned fer realz.

Your beloved "delete me" thread was deleted because people could not be compliant, despite numerous warnings from me for the past hour.

Please do not EVER post pornographic images or other "NSFW" content here.

Now, that would definitely be NSFW, but if I recall correctly, the picture in question showed a mouse trap snapping on someone's tongue.

Oh noes! What if the Packers fall from the BCS rankings after an embarrassing loss to an unranked, non-postseason bound losing team on the road during the regular season? Since there are no longer sponsor privileges, you can delete threads that you've started.

However, I do have vModador authority, so it is possible that only I can delete threads that I have started and others can't delete their own threads.

I'd like to appeal to the commissioner. How about just a 2 game suspension. It wasn't done on purpose. No doubt the "alleged" NSFW posts we clearly done by accident as some noob didn't know the rules of the game. Is there such a thing as a class action appeal?

In a very convenient scapegoat... as I am not a real modador, I cannot un-delete football forum threads. You will have to plead your case to a real Modador here.

It was not just the mouse trap, but very, very questionable images posted by people who had been here awhile.

Perhaps this can be a teaching opportunity... no thread, not even a long pointless crappy thread about nothing, is safe if it has content that is not safe... for work.

I'm disappointed in you badger. If you didn't like the thread then you didn't have to keep clicking on it. You missed it Mad Dog... I begged people for an hour to remove the images that were NSFW.

I would be fine with reopening it if the offensive pics get removed. I promise that this was not a case of baj taking her thread and going home. This was me worried that it had gotten outta hand and that SF.com would get blocked on work computers because of offensive images, nothing else.

There are ways around this. VBulliten does have a NSFW Feature that will allow posters to post NSFW Pics that will allow those of you who do abuse your employers throughout the Day.
