Drove down to Oklahoma, did Christmas with the gf's parents, went to her nephew's 2nd b-day party, proposed, saw Trans-Siberian Orchestra...

I need a nap or something.

Well, her parents bought the tickets. I admire them for putting on a pretty good show, even if I'm not a huge fan of the music. The chick keyboardist was phenomenal, and their lead guitarist / music director dude is pretty talented.

TSO has pretty much put Savatage on a permanent hiatus.

Oh yeah...congrats on the engagement.

I suspected for a long time that you had no taste. Now, you've confirmed it.

We have tickets for one of the TSO shows here. Can't wait! I saw them years ago and it was a phenomenal show.

And congrats!

Congrats, Modador. You should make her call you that, btw. Or maybe Maestro.

Nice job, EJ. :)

Which was more fun, the birthday party or the concert? ;)

Spoken like a true bitter old man. :)

I'm not that old....just old enough....I get it enough now too...but that's because I'm divorced and have a girlfriend now :)

Well, at the concert I got to chuckle to myself at the overly-dramatic rock band poses they kept using.

At the birthday party I got to chuckle at a room full of 2-year-olds going monkey-poo in a room where virtually every surface was padded. It kind of put me in mind of the Red vs. Blue line. "So how do you prepare to venture out into the internet?" "Give a room full of second-graders automatic weapons and meth. That oughta be a good warm up."

LOL at the rock band poses, that is exactly what I thought when my then-girlfriend, now-wife and I went a few years ago... kudos on the show, meh on the poser factor.

Congrats, man... hope y'all have a great engagement and a long, happy life together!
