I actually found a Clapper in a store last year and got it for my parents because we had been seeing those ads for years and thought what the heck, see what the buzz is all about.

I just did something similar this year --- I have a friend that is looking to go into professional landscaping and design and has a good sense of humor. I found a Shrek Chia pet.

I will have to find out the status of my parents' Clapper and how well it works and stuff. I will give an update on the Chia later, provided it doesn't end up a doggie toy or trashed immediately :)

My mom, bless her heart (by adding that, I can say negative stuff and not feel bad), has given me things she thinks men like for my entire adult life. For instance, last year I got a globe, and the year before a coffee table book on Naval Ships of WWI (I'm ex-military, not Navy, and I don't now...nor have I ever had any interest in WWI or the naval ships of said war).

Any of you guys ever thought of providing your parents with some kind of wish list? Believe me, they will appreciate knowing the gift they get for you is something you actually want . . .

Oh yeah. I've even had conversations with her about it (at one point, I told her not to worry with anything for me...didn't work). My mom's always been really into Christmas, and gets gifts for everyone she's ever met (including the paper boy and mailman). I gave up and now I kinda look forward to what this year's man-gift will be.
