It is going to be hard to overcome the 'everyone gets a trophy' mentality, but it can be done. It has to be done or this country will slowly crumble.

Anyone with half a brain can figure out that this article is more about scoring points for the mouth frothing right wingers than dealing with facts.

Correct me if I am wrong.

1. Since the early 1900's have we seen continued modernization of our plants?
2. Were not several of those companies taken over in mergers ie Harley Davidson and Allis Chalmers?
3. Are not most of those companies still around?
4. Until Reagan did we not have tariffs that protected American industries?
5. Weren't most of those companies owned by the individuals and not stockholders?
6. Was GATT, NAFTA and the WTO around back then?
7. Has the world economy changed since that time?

Do you need me to go on?

I like things. Especially the things I like.

And I like it when other people who like things (especially when they are the same things I like) talk about the things they like too. It makes me feel happy.

When did Wisconsin stop making cheese?

They should build a wall around Wisconsin and not let the cheese makers take cheese making jobs elsewhere.
