2001 BCS chaos in which Texas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Colorado (2 losses) and Oregon were in the BCSNCG mix.

Oklahoma's bid ends with a loss to Oklahoma State.

Texas is the South Champion and 1 win away from the NCG.

Colorado defeats Nebraska for the North crown.

Texas loses CCG which eliminated them from NCG.

Miami awaits Colorado or Nebraska or Oregon.

Oregon's loss came to an 8+ win Stanford.

Nebraska's loss came in the final regular season game to Colorado.

Colorado lost early in the year to Fresno State and in conference play to Texas before getting revenge.

The Final BCS Standings going into the Bowls:

1. Miami (12-0)
2. Nebraska (11-1)
3. Colorado (10-2)
4. Oregon (11-1)
5. Florida (9-2)

Colorado finished just .05 behind Nebraska. Oregon, which many thought should have played for the NC, was trailing by a lot in the points average.

2011 Alabama ends up in the exact same role as 2001 Nebraska. Alabama is in a better position and can actually win the national championship.

2001 Colorado ended up getting screwed moreso than Oregon based on what was presented at the end to the country.

BCS chaos is not limited to those two years IMO. The system sucks donkey balls. We need a playoff

Just think of the 2014 BCS chaos, when the SEC are the only teams to play in all 5 BCS Bowls......

Nobody cared that year, though, because Miami was so much better than everyone else. This year LSU has shown some weaknesses... I remember thinking we were the only D in the nation that could stop Miami's offense, but that our offense would have been slaughtered like little lambs by their defense. :D

When you change the system to get specific results (after 03 and 04), you end up with results you may not like (07, 09, and 11).
