Make yours, here's mine:
(1) Bob won't make coaching staff changes
(2) Joe C. won't pressure Bob to make coaching staff changes
(3) David Boren wants to us to be in a basketball conference two times zones away and wasted a bunch of time and energy on it during the season
(4) (1) + (2) + (3) = No accountability
(5) The Big 12 is so lame that when we beat Texas, we actually think we've accomplished something and are going somewhere. Our benchmark is too low
(6) Heupel and Norvell's offense was way too heavily invested in Ryan Broyles. You can't have one player being lost tank your whole scheme. Heupel and Norvell are lazy and unimaginative. We have way too many 4- and 5-star recruits on the offensive side of the ball to have one guy being injured blow a whole season. Lazy.
(7) We are becoming too much like Texas - more interested in making big money than winning big football games.

Jerry Sandusky would put a better defense on the field.

It just comes down to execution guys... the offensive play calling was bad in the first half though... OU should have established the run early!!!! but they failed!!

I was OK with the no huddle when it was actually fast. We do the no huddle now but still run the clock down. Pointless.

This is the problem - the offensive coordinators trying to be too cute.

Folks, LSU ran 48 plays tonight and won by 32. We ran 47 plays in the first half...and were behind by 21!

Football, at it's essence, is simple - play tough defense, ball control your opponent's defense to death. LSU is masterful at this.

Us? We're too f*cking busy showing how many records we can set to worry about winning. Texas Tech, Baylor, and Oklahoma State...all in one season. But, gee, look at all the records we set by throwing to Ryan Broyles in blowouts.

Stupid.

We need a major shakeup of our coaching staff but I don't see it ever happening unless the people who write the big checks start sreaming anfd make the powers that be listen.

Until that happens thoughconsign yourselves to throwaway seasons like this one became.

We all know Stoops is loyal to a fault...and he should have made BV put more pressure on Weeden, but this team was missing more than Broyles.....top RB, two LBs + another playing hurt all year.............injuries hurt this team more than most are admitting.

Yes. So, pull them out of blowouts in the second or third quarter instead of the fourth. KA-POW! This also develops depth.

Stoops is 110% the anti-Switzer when it comes to protecting and developing players in this regard. He wears these players the f*ck out by the end of the year.

No one gives a crap about hanging 62 on Ball State. We're up 38-6 at half. Who gives crap about scoring more, or getting Ryan Broyles more passes? Bob.

We're up on Texas 41-10 with 13:30 left in the third quarter. Take the starters the f*ck out of the game. We don't. Wort and others get hurt in the fourth quarter, and these injuries play on throughout the season. Why? It's not good enough for Bob to have already beat the snot out of a team.

Sorry to say, but with Stoops' play the starters into the fourth quarter of blowouts, set as many records as possible mindset, this is what we get. And, it isn't the first year it's happened.

It's not good enough just to win and get to the next game for Bob. He'll drive his players into the ground trying to prove what to whom? Hooray...we have the nation's leading pass catcher ever...and he has no national championship ring. What a great trade off.

Why not just hire June Jones or Mike Leach, or some other halfass record whore? Hal Mumme is available. His teams always set offensive records. Go get him. It's important.

Not enough playmakers on either side of the ball.

Look at LSU. They have a punter who can flip field position with one kick. And they also have a kick returner who may very well be the most impactful player in all of college football.

Not to mention, playmakers in the secondary.

That's why they can absorb their offense going an entire half without making a first down.

When OU's offense bogs down because the receivers either drop passes or Landry, god bless him, overthrows his receivers, it puts the team in a bind.

Especially when they go three and out like they did on their first possession. Tress Way is not Brad Wing. He's a nice punter, but cannot flip field position with his leg.

And the defense, for whatever reason, isn't the kind of defense that can make game changing plays.

They play hard and can get you a stop on occasion. And the defense is far down the list of culprits for last night's loss.

But they don't have any playmakers. Especially in the secondary.

Those kinds of players can coverup a secondary and linebacker unit that has problems covering and a front 3 or 4 that can't get pressure on the QB by themselves.

Our players were overrated, and we had too many injuries to key people. Very simple and people on here think the world is commin an end.

We're Oklahoma, NO ONE should beat us 44-10. I don't care if we were playing LSU in Baton Rouge, we should not be getting handled this was.

Our players were overrated, and we had too many injuries to key people. Very simple and people on here think the world is commin an end. We have coaches being paid the big bucks, who should be able to fix our simple problems. We were, once again, suppose to be a National Championship caliber team and look at us. This is how we end up with ALL we have to work with? That is unacceptable for the University of Oklahoma. We don't have over rated players. Look at the players we had a decade plus ago, who won the National Championship for us; players Blake recruited. What we have are over rated coaches. Lets not forget who recruits our players.

Just like USC and LSU, and others, such as Alabama, when a player goes down, we should be ready and able to put another one out on the field who is just as good, if not better, to take over. We have won enough games over the last couple of seasons by enough points that these second string players should of had more playing time.

And no, its not the "end of the world," however its the end of us being able to say we are a force to be dealt with. Its the end of us living up to our tradition. We are losing to teams we should NOT be losing to and our tradition of being an unstoppable powerhouse, a snake pit of a stadium filled with players to fear is over. We are overrated, we choke, even at home to unranked teams and we are a team who has no Plan B in that we can not win if we lose certain players. Championship caliber teams are not fragile or needy. We are fragile and needy.
