But with all of the emphasis on football, the big money, the facilities...it just blows my mind...

RG III. He's awesome.

Just like Southern Miss. beat FSU 2 years straight back in the early 90's. They had some guy who was pretty good, too. Brett Favre!

I wonder if Art Briles makes more than Brent Venables?

Weird year...

Really not that hard to understand.

Baylor = good

TX = the suck

Sooners = disinterested

And Baylor got both games in Waco.

They have the best QB in the nation who went up against two teams that can't defend the pass that's how. Bad match up.

Baylor beat Texas the same way half the teams on their schedule did. How the beat OU is the same way Tech beat OSU - once in a lifetime fluke.

Speed.

They have the fastest QB in the conference (who is also a talented thrower), the fastest receiver in Kendall Wright, and one of the fastest 2 or 3 RBs in the conference in Ganoway.

On the one hand, that shouldn't happen with OU's and Texas's superior resources (i.e. recruiting advantages), but it somehow did with those three. And we can see that it hasn't happened for Baylor in translation to the defensive side of the ball.

So we'll see next year with all three of these guys gone (I gotta believe RGIII leaves) how consistent that recruiting has been for Baylor...whether they have been doing a great job of finding those guys, or if they just got lucky with this trio.

And we'll need to see if Art Briles is back as well. I haven't heard his name come up any where yet, but with all the openings and all the success that he's had at FREAKING BAYLOR, he will get some looks.

Spread offense is the great equilizer if your players are better...
