No. 7 Houston botched its chance to play in the Bowl Championship Series, and opened the door for a return to the BCS by TCU. Case Keenum and the Cougars were pounded 49-28 by Southern Mississippi in the Conference USA championship game Saturday, a loss that will cost Houston and the league millions of dollars.
