Anybody noticing nervous State fans on the Internet today? I'm seeing tons of folks on Facebook and such talking about non-revenue NCs and the "we went to school here/we have no choice" pride argument like they've already lost the game.

Oh yes. There was lots of orange at work yesterday but they were not expressing any arrogance or "we already won" sentiment or anything.

They're been heartbroken a lot in the past. It's hard to get your hopes up when you've been let down so many times before.

I'm glad you guys have friends that are tentative and somewhat remorseful. The people I know are running their mouths like OSU hasn't lost the last 8 years in a row. I may quite possibly act like the most arrogant ********* on the planet if we (do what I expect and) win, given all the crap I've gotten over social networks the last few days.

Looking back on all of these games for this silly little microsoft paint experiment made me realize that they've always been close and competitive at some point when the game is in Stillwater. Alas, they haven't done what they've needed to at the end of the game in order to win, whether it was a last-second field goal (2004), a tipped touchdown pass by the "backup" quarterback (2006), Sammie helicoptering for a first down and almost a touchdown (2008) or everyone, Boone included, thinking the game was over before it actually was (2010).

It comes down to coaching. We're ready to play all four quarters, and they aren't... or at least they haven't been. For silly reports about Gundy's coaching and prep style, I would not be surprised to see another epic 4th quarter meltdown.
