....is currently forecasted to really suck. Looking on the weather map/forecast today, looks like it'll be cold, raining & the winds will be sweeping over the plain. Dangit. Why didn't Boone cover that stadium when he was shelling out all those bucks?

Well, anyway.....what does this do? Does it tip the scale one way or the other for either team? Could this be a blessing in disguise or >>>>>>? Whadayall think?

They have a good rb and we do too. I think our run D is better than theirs.

According to OP, there will be a storm on the field after the game.

I think it's great. It ruins the circle jerk their fans will have before the game.

need power runners, not juke & scat. Brennan and Brandon must dish out punishment.

I think they have 2 RBs better than the ones we will throw out there. But I completely agree with the second part.

Y'all think we might possibly see even more of the Belldozer or Drew Allen vs. Landry Jones?

I think one of theirs is better than our (currently) 1st, but our backfield, as a whole, is better. This includes Trey and RIP.

It would be interesting to see the Belldozer crew actually drive down the field. We've only seen it in 3-5 yard, tight situations.

What's Bell going to do, at mid-field after he gets his 3-5 yards? Will he already be out of gas or will he take a slide?

They can't sell out their stadium, and this will guarantee it!! OSU will play "up-tight" and OU should be able to have their way.....

I think we'll see lots of Belldozer time. I would roll it out there on as much as 2nd and fives if it works as well as it has so far.

Yeah, weather's gonna suck. (http://www.tulsaworld.com/blogs/post.aspx?/Bedlam_football_chance_of_rain_100_percent/48-13381) Good reason to not pay either the Sooner donor price (what is it now, $125?) or the Poke season ticket price ($602 and up) and stay outta Stilly.

It's not looking good this weekend elsewhere, either. Chance of snow?! (http://www.tulsaworld.com/news/article.aspx?subjectid=298&articleid=20111202_298_0_Amixtu45047) It's December but it still seems too early, like we were just getting 100s and drought yesterday :(

How awesome would it be to see an actual physical game due to weather when all the talk was of a bazillion point over/under throwball game?

Whoever came up with the idea to move this game to the first week in December to compensate for losing the playoff game should be fired.

As much as you might have rather had this game in November, consider that the original date was Nov. 26. It was raining, windy and cold in Stillwater that day, too.

Boone Pickens need to put up a billion to dome his precious namesake stadium. It'd solve a multitude of issues all at once --- indoor practice AND playing facility! Host basketball games right after football games to up your pathetic GIA basketball attendance! A domed stadium doesn't look nearly as empty as an outdoor one because there's no sun to shine off the empty metal bleachers! And that whole east-west versus north-south thing? Who cares! You're indoors!

Madeline Pickens might protest though --- the poor horsie wouldn't be able to roam free outdoors like he gets to now. The dome just would be too cruel to the animal :stunned:

OSU's runners wouldn't be as good as Oklahoma's runners in Oklahoma's non-existent run-blocking scheme.

One of my favorite games ever. The night before, I went to a movie with a friend. The Sooners were about 5 rows ahead of us. Don't remember the movie.

I'm not sure how much bad weather favors OUr team, maybe a little. But I hope it impacts the enthusiam of the crowd! I remember back to the FSU game and how LJ was consistently barking out the play while the play clock ticked down to 2-3 seconds and we seemed confused half the time. This game will likely be the loudest we've faced since then.

The student section should be extremely amped up. Close to a 100 tents camped for this game compared to our normal 34. Rain and cold brings out more passion in our students for whatever reason, probably because we gotta get that alcohol warmth going.

Normal fans though, not sure. They'll still show but I think they sit and try and stay warm the entire game.

I wuz there...tried to get up to take a leak during the 3rd quarter and found that my a$z was stuck to the seat. So I spent several minutes extricating myself and my Dad and I left at the end of the 3rd. We had already scored our 13 anyway and no need to watch us run out the clock with Lydell Carr up the middle every play. We knew the result. :)

The current forecast on weather.com shows rain (0.5") in the afternoon. Low is 29.
The rain could be over by gametime and the low usually occurs around 4-5 AM. Could be perfect football weather.

It is raining really hard here in Tulsa right now. Not much in Stilly at the moment according to the radar. Did they already get their crazy shower?
