How awesome would it be to have a 7-6 UCLA team in the Rose Bowl?

It's like a football version of Deal or No Deal..... You either get the 13 million dollars in the the briefcase, or no bowl at all.

Further proof the BCS is a joke.

Yeah, an impossible scenario described by yourself is surefire proof that the BCS is a joke.

How is it impossible? If they beat Oregon, they go to the Rose Bowl. If they lose, they are 6-7 and bowl ineligible.

The BCS is awarding the winner of the Pac-12 a trip to a BCS bowl.

No, the Rose Bowl and their stupid "tradition" would be selecting the Bruins.

UCLA has a waiver and can go at 6-7.

It wouldn't be the first time that a crappy team played in the Rose Bowl (Pre or post bcs).

This too. Nothing to do with the BCS.

I saw this the other day and thought it was hilarious.

"Dear NCAA --

Because USC screwed up and the rest of our division absolutely sucks, we're forced into playing a CCG that we will almost certainly lose and make us bowl ineligible. Can you help us out? What, with those bowl eligible standards being so dastardly high and all.

Sincerely, UCLA"

I mean that's funny, ain't it?

The losing record for bowl qualifications is for regular season only. CCG are post-season.

Colorado went to a bowl the year they got pasted by Texas (think it was like 70-3?) and they went 6-7.
