The last time they fired a coach at 6-6 it didn't go so well

He was overrated from the get-go. They may need to change their style heading into the SEC anyway.

Seems like most of their fans were talking about how great he was toward the end of last season.

Chip Brown tweeted this morning that he expects Mike Sherman to return next year as the Aggies head coach.

You can all go back your lives. If Chip says he's staying, he's gone. Chip misses more than he gets them right.

More discussion has K Sumlin returning to CS.

Was a coordinator there for Slocum.

Yeah, he is the guy who in 2010 right after OU/Texas ranked the Big 12(-2-1+1) teams and still ranked Texas ahead of OU. Texas only had 2 loses at that point.

Liucci has completely back-tracked on his story and is now saying Sherman isn't gone. Looks like he totally jumped the gun on this one.

If there is ever a better reason to do it.....they have it now. Think how we would feel if OU would have blown all those big game leads....

Consider: Before he signed his offseason extension, his contract had no buyout clause. Now, magically, it does.

If Illini fires Zooker for their midseason sink, expect the Aggies to. They are both underachieving should-be powerhouse programs in big recruiting areas that inevitably suck every season for some reason.

Zooker should have been **** canned last season....silly Illini just never learn.
