Which is nuts.

It's the exact opposite of the treatment given to Boise, TCU, etc., over the past several years.

The chorus has always been, "who have they beaten?"... now people are just assuming that Alabama has beaten a bunch of good teams because they're in the SEC! SEC! SEC!

But the fact of the matter is that OSU has beaten many more quality teams than Alabama has... and that will be especially true if OSU wins Bedlam.

So is Bama. Even so, I feel Bama had their best shot (at home) and lost. Every SEC nut swinger always says the "real" National Championship Game is the SEC Title game. If that's true, why do they feel Bama deserves another shot? If a team (even an SEC team) wins the MNC Game over the "SEC Champion," the whole argument of the "SEC Champion being the best team every year" will mean nothing. A Bama win would cause SEC heads to explode trying to figure out how the SEC Champ got beat in a Bowl game. ;)

I still say if OSU wins this weekend, they are most deserving of the 1 loss teams.

Under the current system, I will never support a rematch for the championship. If the regular season means everything and every game is part of the playoff, then Alabama has already had their chance. It may be a yawner of a game but that's the way it happens sometimes, even with a playoff (see numerous Super Bowls). IF OSU beats OU, they deserve to play in the BCSCG.

Nobody can beat 92 Miami. Nobody can beat 98 FSU 00 FSU. Nobody can beat 2002 Miami. Nobody can beat 05 USC, etc.. Purely subjective crowning teams unbeatable. It seem we never learn that lesson.
